Dear dog owners and your four-legged friends !
Idea about dog school in Alūksne was expressed and realized in 1997, when the first trainingstarted together with association of district Alūksne „Apsardze”. Thanks to Alūksne Town Council training ground was assigned. Ground was established with initiative and work of participants themselves. Training took place once a week under guidance of I.Pavlovskis, dog leader-instructor of the regional association „Apsardze” of Vidzeme.
On 15 april, 2002, civic organization „REMIS” was established. In Julyof the same year, Alūksne Municipal Council assigned a new ground for us at Malienas Street 15a. We are using this ground until this day.
Principles and directions of activities were elaborated , both mistakes and successes in activities of other civic organizations were analyzed in details. Within a short period of time, a great enclosed training ground and hurdles for physical and sports training was created with help of all founders and trainees.
Much time in the establishment of the ground was devoted by A.Auziņa, I.Šnikvalds, G.Krūmiņš, I.Mazika, R.Podrezovs, A.Naglis.
On 21 October 2005, the civic organizatin „REMIS”was registered as society.
Arita Auziņa, instructor of the society „REMIS”, has made a great work and has shown her own initiative. Thanks to her several tens of four-legged friends are trained, and they have successfully passed examination in the general qualification. Prticipants of society „REMIS” with good results take part in sports and charity events in the scale of the municipality and Latvia. Sportsmen of the society have won titles of the champions of republic and other places. I.Mazika, I.Šnikvalds, G.Krūmiņš, R.Nikolajevs have been champions of LV. Also R.Podrezovs, L.Rožkalne, G.Duba, R.Pranckuns, L.Ozoliņa have shown good results.
The great job made by the society in the organization of contests „Alūksnes ziema” and „Saļņi” should be noted. These contests are very interesting for many sportsmen of LV. It should be mentioned , that in the organization and supporting of the contests society should Express their gratitude to entrepreneurs of municipality, which give presents generously.

Aims of activities of society „REMIS „ :
• To carry out general and special trainings of dogs;
• To develop and popularize the complex and applied sports dog breeding as one of types of mass culture, sports and education;
• To develop reciprocal cooperation with other cynological organizations, represent the interests of the society in other cynological organizations;
• To unite instructors of dog training for the experience exchange and improvement of the professional qualification standard;
• Disseminate correct opinions among dog breeders about the usefulness and sports training of dogs, to rouse interest and involve dog owners, mainly - youth, in the professional training of dogs.
Any legal or natural person with or without the dog, which is acquainted himself with statutes of the society, takes part in the events and expresses his proposals for successful activities, can become member of the society. Members of the society shall observe statutes, shall fulfill decisions of the board, pay membership fee on regular basis, take part actively in the realization of aims and tasks of the society. Obligation of the member of the society is to appreciate the reputation of the society and to do not tolerate action, which taints reputation of the society.
Training
Society „REMIS" carries out training of dogs and their owners. We offer the course of general training (CGK), as well as possibility to train and participate at National Dog Multiathlon Contests.
We train whelps from the age of 4 months. The task of the training course is :
> to involve owners of all pedigree and non-pedigree dogs in the learning of course of dogs’ obedience from the simple level to participation in contests of various degrees of complexity;
> to popularize elementary training of obedience of dogs regardless its size and breed;
> to explain the necessity of correct socialization of the dog in the process of training by use of manifold training methods, popularize opinion among the dog owners about the necessity of practicing with dogs.
The aims of the training course are:
> to find the possibility for dog owner to acquire obedient, controllable and acceptable for the society dog;
> popularization of training of dogs, as well as identification of qualification level of dog owners;
> to create sportive and active hobby atmosphere;
> to teach reasonable and productive communication with their dogs to dog owners, selection of correct and responsible types of training.
